Released as the top-of-the-range expression in The Macallan’s ‘1824 Collection’, this whisky was a celebration of 100% natural colour and masterful maturation. The “Ruby” name reflects its stunning, deep, natural mahogany colour, which it draws entirely from 100% First-Fill Spanish Sherry Oak casks.
This expression was discontinued as Macallan shifted its range, and it has since become one of the most sought-after bottles from that era.
It is renowned for its intense, complex, and rich profile. The palate is a luxurious experience of ginger, nutmeg, sweet raisins, and treacle, all balanced by a long and lingering, rich oak spice.
