This specific release is the ‘1930s Propeller Plane’ edition, part of the “Classic Travel Range.” It was created as an exclusive for the travel retail market and is now a prized collector’s item, rarely seen for sale.
The bottle and box feature a striking x-ray photograph of a 1930s propeller plane by acclaimed British artist Nick Veasey, celebrating the golden age of travel.
The whisky inside was crafted by Macallan’s legendary Whisky Maker, Bob Dalgarno. It is a complex blend of spirit matured in both Sherry and Bourbon casks and bottled at Dalgarno’s preferred, higher strength of 42.8% ABV to deliver a richer, more robust flavour profile.
