A monumental release in The Macallan’s limited-edition TIME : SPACE Collection, the TIME : SPACE Sherry Cask 20 Year Old marks a historic milestone in the distillery’s storied mastery of wood and spirit.

This 20-year-old single malt demonstrates The Macallan’s closed-loop sherry cask ecosystem, representing the very first whisky matured in casks seasoned directly through their partnership with the historic Valdespino bodega in Jerez de la Frontera. Following two decades of slow maturation in European and American sherry-seasoned oak, the liquid was transferred into casks drawn from the inaugural 200 casks seasoned at Valdespino specifically for The Macallan, imparting an unprecedented depth of rich European oak structure and dried fruit character.

Presented in the breathtaking, bespoke circular “donut” glass vessel housed inside a vivid sculptural yellow presentation case with concentric fold-out layered wings. Complete with its original protective outer transit sleeve.

Tasting Profile:

• Nose: Rich dried dates, sultanas, sticky treacle toffee, dark chocolate-coated cherries, and aromatic antique oak spice.

• Palate: Luxurious and full-bodied; layers of rich ginger cake, bramble jam, crystallized orange peel, cloves, warming cinnamon, and roasted cocoa nibs.

• Finish: Long, warming, and exceptionally smooth; gentle waves of lingering wood spice, toasted oak, and espresso crema.
