The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Year Old 2018 Release is a particularly notable year for the iconic single malt, as it was the first to be released with the brand’s new, more luxurious bottle and packaging design, moving away from the previous purple box. Matured for a minimum of 18 years in strictly selected Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, this Speyside whisky boasts a rich, light mahogany natural colour. It offers a classic and indulgent profile with aromas of treacle tart and ginger, developing on the palate into dark chocolate-coated ginger, dates, and dried apricots, all balanced by hints of vanilla and toasted mature oak for a long, elegant finish.
